Lawyer, legal philosopher, and academic researcher.

John Campos Benavides is a lawyer, Doctor of Law from the University of the Basque Country/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (cum laude, 2023), and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (2025). Trained in the legal traditions of Spain and Latin America, he has built a career integrating professional practice, university teaching, and scientific research in the areas of natural law theory, philosophy of law, and international law.

He serves as Arbitration Judge across fourteen jurisdictions and has practiced as a Public Notary in Chile. As an academic, he has taught at universities in Chile, Spain, Colombia, Bolivia, Honduras, and El Salvador, and has participated as a speaker at more than fifty international conferences throughout Latin America and Europe.

His publications address political philosophy, state intelligence as a constitutional function, military sociology, and the philosophical foundations of the legal order, appearing in scientific journals in Spain, Colombia, and the United States.
